The Councillors’ Ward Pots aim to support stronger, successful communities by making grants available to local voluntary, community, and self-help groups and projects that want to make a difference in their local community and which contribute to at least one of the ward priorities.
We’ve funded play equipment for play groups, tea & cake for social clubs, walking paths for schools and neighbouring communities to get active, information boards, chairobics sessions, porta-loos and bouncy castles for festivals, volunteer expenses, ovens for baking groups, room hire for meetings, community defibrillators, public benches, seeds & bulbs for the street scene, hi-vis arm bands to encourage children walking to school, the list goes on……
