England Talent (Disability) Identification Programme

29 Jan

Sheffield & Hallamshire County Football Association is delighted to announce details of the County FA’s England Disability Talent Identification Programme.

The aim of this nationwide scheme is to identify talented football players aged 11-16 across a range of disabilities that include: partially sighted, blind, deaf, amputee and cerebral palsy. Funded by the FA, the scheme kicks off with an England Talent Day. Any players, between the ages of 11-16, with one of the listed disabilities can attend. Players attending the talent day will have the opportunity to potentially be selected for a six-week training programme that could lead to them moving through the talent pathway and eventually representing England in one of the impairment specific squads.

The England Talent Day will take place on Saturday 26th March from 10am to 12.30pm at Oakwell Stadium (3G pitches), Grove Street, Barnsley, S71 1ET. Please note on the 3G pitches only moulded studded boots and trainers to be worn (i.e. Blades and studs are not allowed – preferable footwear would be mouldeds). If you would like to attend please complete the attached registration form and return to  Please also note that the FA Cup will proudly be displayed on the day (see below) so it should be a great day for everyone.
