Equality & Fairness Grants

The Equality and Fairness Grants Fund 2015-16 is now open. The guidance booklet and application form are available to download from the Council website.

All funded activities must contribute to our Equality and Fairness Objective of strengthening the voice and influence of under-represented communities in Sheffield.

There are 2 themes for 2015-16:

  1. Equality Hub Network (maximum £15,000/project) – promoting and supporting the Equality Hub Network
  2. Voter registration (maximum £5,000/project) –  increasing the number of registered voters from communities of identity, particularly BME people and young people

The closing date for applications is Friday 6 February 2015, 12pm (midday).

Crosspool Forum Open Meeting cancelled

Tonight’s Open Meeting has been cancelled due to concerns over snow, ice and the safety of people attending.

The new date for the meeting will be Thursday 12 February 2015 at St Columba’s church.

International Women’s Day event – Women’s Hub

A variety of workshops and activities by, for and about women is being organised by the Women’s Hub to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) this year. All welcome. More information will be available on the IWD webpage and in the next newsletter.

51 bus service timetables adjusted to improve reliability

51 bus The 51 bus timetable has been adjusted

Adjustments to the midweek 51 bus service timetable came into operation today.

The revised timetables are part of operator First’s latest efforts to improve the reliability of the service.
