Sandygate to host the Sheffield Fans’ Derby on Thursday

On Thursday night Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United fans will compete in a match at Sandygate for the Sheffield Fans Derby Trophy.

The competition, which raises money for local charities, has been running since 2008. This year’s chosen charity is Sheffield Hospitals Charity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Kick off is at 7:30pm.

DCMS CONSULTATION EVENT – THE FUTURE OF COMMUNITY RADIO

On Tuesday 8th April, the CMA is holding a short consultation event on the DCMS Consultation about the future of community radio.
This is of immense importance to all involved in community broadcasting and the wider third sector – not just community radio.
The event starts at 11am and finishes at 3pm and is free to attend:

The event will be held in The Creative Lounge in The Workstation in Sheffield.
A light lunch will be provided and this will be a good opportunity to network with other community media people and help influence Government legislation of the sector.

Hagg Lane allotments Are you interested in renting a Hagg Lane allotment?

Hagg Lane & District Gardeners’ Allotments Society has informed us that at least four vacant plots are about to come up for rent – and the current waiting list for an allotment on this patch has just three people on it.

Plots cost between £80 and £160 a year (£3.08 per week) with discounts available for concessions.

If you’re interested in renting an allotment contact the Allotment Office at Sheffield city council.
