Population Questionnaire to understand Impacts of Covid19 – Citywide (will run for 6 weeks)

22 Jul

Public Health have developed a population level questionnaire to support our understanding of the positive and negative impacts of Covid19 in Sheffield within our communities. The survey will run for 6 weeks.

Click link below to complete the questionnaire

https://sheffield.citizenspace.com/performance-research/coronavirus-rapid-health-impact-assessment

This questionnaire asks a range of questions (mainly multiple choice) about how the experience of Covid19 has been in terms of loneliness, mental health, employment, income, health behaviours, active travel, access to services, where people get their information from  on covdi19, digital inclusion, home schooling, people’s experience of shielding or having Covid19, information about health conditions and managing these during the pandemic, future concerns people may have about the virus.

This questionnaire is really important as it will allow us to gain more information in the areas where we have gaps in data locally. We can then ensure we tailor our response and services to meet the needs described by communities.

It should take around 10-15 min to complete the questionnaire.

If you have any further questions or comments please contact Sarah Hepworth below

Thanks for taking time out to complete the questionnaire

South West Covid Survey Opened 13 Jul 2020 & Closes 14 Aug 2020

13 Jul

Overview

In the past few months Sheffield City Council has deployed extra resources to help communities during the Coronavirus pandemic.

We are now considering how we continue to meet people’s needs, particularly with access to support and information in the coming months, to manage the ongoing effects of the pandemic.

This pilot survey is for residents of South West Sheffield (wards of Crookes & Crosspool, Fulwood, Ecclesall, Dore & Totley). If you live in one of these wards we invite you to take a few minutes to share your experiences regarding Coronavirus support. We will use your answers to inform and shape how we communicate with and support the residents of the South West of Sheffield further as we continue to navigate Covid-19 and recovery.

please complete the Covid survey by clicking on the link below:

Neighbourhood Planning:

Application by Broomhill, Broomfield, Endcliffe, Summerfield & Tapton (BBEST) Neighbourhood Forum for renewal of neighbourhood forum designation

An application has been made to renew the status of BBEST Neighbourhood Forum as the designated neighbourhood forum for the BBEST Neighbourhood Area.

In those parts of Sheffield not covered by a Town or Parish Council a Neighbourhood Forum must be designated by the Council in order to produce a Neighbourhood Plan for the Neighbourhood Area.

BBEST Neighbourhood Forum was designated for a period of 5 years in January 2015 in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 and the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.

This application seeks to renew it for a further 5 years.

The application is supported by a map of the Neighbourhood Area, a copy of the BBEST Neighbourhood Forum constitution, and contact details for the forum.

A copy of the application can be viewed on the Council consultation portal at:  https://sheffield.citizenspace.com/place-planning/neighbourhood-planning-broomhill-broomfield

26 Jun

What is it all about?

Over the next few years our team at Age UK Sheffield and the team at the Lai Yin Association will be providing opportunities to build the pathway to becoming a World Health Organisation Ageing Friendly Sheffield! This is going to involve bringing local residents, communities, citywide organisations, partners, and key players together to collaborate in the design, delivery and evaluation of the project.

How we’ll do this

We’ll do this by engaging in focus groups, co-production events, mystery shopping, volunteer roles, and a city wide launch – all of which is aimed to empower people aged 50+ to have their voices heard. We’ll also be working with organisations across the city so that we can influence future strategic and political decision making.

Who can get involved?

Everyone! Whether you’re an older person, work in the city, or want to get involved to help make a difference in your community, we’d love to work with you. We want as many people to be involved as possible.
